Who We Are

Toronto Family-Style Martial Arts Training

At Creighton’s Taekwon-Do, we believe that martial arts are more than punching and kicking; it is an attitude and way of life. It teaches us how to:

  • live and work together; and
  • set, reach, and achieve our short and long-term goals.

Creighton’s Taekwon-Do’s main purpose is to develop a health program for a progressive organization or community where well-being, physical activity, and individual growth are emphasized and encouraged. Creighton’s Taekwon-Do also provides a comprehensive martial arts experience, aiming to develop students not only as skilled martial artists but also as well-rounded individuals with strong character and values. We want to create and mould leaders for a better future.

Join us in one of our classes and see the difference.

What you can expect from Creighton’s Taekwon-Do

  1. Traditional Taekwon-Do Training: Creighton’s Taekwon-Do follows the tenets and principles of traditional Taekwon-Do as established by its founder, General Choi Hong Hi. This includes the practice of patterns (forms), sparring, self-defence techniques, and breaking.

  3. Physical Fitness: Taekwon-Do training involves rigorous physical conditioning to develop strength, flexibility, agility, and endurance.
  4. Self-defence Training: Taekwon-Do includes practical self-defence techniques designed to defend against common attacks.
  5. Community and Camaraderie: Taekwon-Do training often fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among students and instructors.
  6. Life Skills and Character Development: Beyond physical techniques, Creighton’s Taekwon-Do places importance on character development and life skills such as perseverance, confidence, humility, and self-control, which can benefit students both on and off the mats.

MESSAGE FROM GRAND MASTER S. CREIGHTON

“Through my years of martial arts training at different clubs, I found one thing lacking everywhere – the true sense of family. Too often, students trained only for themselves, with little regard for those who were weaker or just beginning. Creighton’s Taekwon-Do was created to change that. Our vision has always been to build a club that not only teaches martial arts, but also fosters respect, care, and support for one another. We are, indeed, your second family.

I believe we have accomplished this, and our growth shows that our family continues to thrive and learn together. I would like to extend a warm thank you to all our students and families for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to enriching the world of Taekwon-Do. A special thank you goes to the dedicated parents and guardians who support us wholeheartedly and help us grow.

As training and study progress here, it is clear to see the value behind the decision to join our family and be rewarded in so many ways. Creighton’s Taekwon-Do is committed to providing courses that not only meet every skill level and background, but also embody our supportive and innovative teaching approach.

Finally, I take pride in our “Open Door Policy.” Please never hesitate to approach myself or any of our qualified team members—we are here to help.”

Sincerely,
Grand Master S. Creighton – IX Dan
